By replacing the stock piece with a mandrel-bent aluminum tube, it prevents collapse under suction to maintain peak performance. While the stock rubber intake tube has bellows that can restrict air flow, this aluminum intake tube is completely smooth on the inside to provide undisturbed air flow to your engine.
